高梁川 － Takahashi river

岡山県を流れる高梁川、9月の表情。- Takahashi river that flowing in Okayama pref.

伯備線の電車が鉄橋を渡る。（高梁市）

彼岸花の頃 － The time of "Higanbana" (red spider lily)

彼岸花があちこちで咲き誇っています。
暑い季節もこれで、終わり。秋もいよいよ本格的になっていくのですね。
－”Higanbana" is blooming everywhere in the country.　This flower lets us know that autumn has come.

本来は、田んぼの畔など、有害動物除けに植えられていることが多いようです。別名は曼珠沙華ですが、宗教的な背景を連想してしまいます。
ー　At the rice field, "Heganbane" is planted to protect crops from harmful animals. Another Japanese name is "Manjushage", but both related to religious background.

秋の始まり － The beginning of autumn

日暮れ時を歩いていると、提灯の灯に浮かび上がった鳥居が目に入ってきました。
そういえば、街中では祭りの準備たけなわ、、。
田園では稲刈りも始まっているでしょう。
秋が来ているのですね。
- The torii of the shrine was illuminated by lantern lights.
In town, it seemed to be busy preparing for the autumn festival. Harvesting would has been started in rice fields of rural areas.
So, autumn is beginning.

さらば夏の日 － Goodbye summer days

8月が終わりを迎えるの合わせて雨がザーザーと降るようになりました。
気が付けば、日の入りも早くなってます。
この歳だと暑さが堪えますが、夏休みの解放感は格別です。夏の光もまた来年、ですね。
ー　It began rain heavily has at the end of August. Day time has been shorter than before.
Goodbye to summer days until next year. 

さて、この夏に撮影した、夕暮れ時の川の情景です。
